Thelma Juanita (Cooper) Edwards

Thelma Cooper Edwards, age 88, Erwin, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the Christian Care Center of Unicoi. She was a life-long resident of Erwin and a daughter of the late Horace and Sarah Lingerfelt Cooper.

Thelma was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dana Edwards in 1984; one son, Gary Cooper; two daughters: Sandy Cooper Lake and Shelia Snider; one brother, Bob Cooper; one sister, Kathleen Kirchner.

Thelma leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons: Eddie Edwards and wife, Melissa, of Palm Bay, FL, and Danny Edwards, of Unicoi; one brother, Jerry Browning, and wife, Dot, of Gray; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Upper Higgins Creek Cemetery, Flag Pond. Reverend Adam Miller will officiate. Pallbearers will be Corey Edwards, Scotty Baucom, Dustin Baucom, Michael Coon, Zac Holten and Ken McGhee. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:55 PM Wednesday.
