Trula (Gaddy) Watts

Trula Gaddy Watts, age 78, of Unicoi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 03, 2025, at her residence while she was surrounded by her family. She was born in Unicoi on September 14, 1946, to the late C.C. “Lum” Gaddy and Juanita “Ferne” Smith.

Trula and her twin brother, Troy Gaddy graduated from Unicoi County High School in 1964. Trula was a devoted member of Unicoi Church of Christ where she was baptized along with her entire family.

She married Russell Watts of Unicoi on February 08, 1966, in Burnsville, North Carolina.

Trula leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, her husband of fifty-nine years, Russell Watts; her only child, Belina Jo Watts Hoyle and husband, Dana; grandson, Daniel Hoyle; her twin brother, Troy Gaddy (Donna), older brother, Larry Gaddy (Lynn); her younger sister, Sandy Burleson (Larry); several nieces and nephews also survive.

May our sister rest in peace in the arms of her Savior, Christ Jesus.

Trula’s graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 07, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Mausoleum. Dr. Wayne Emery will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. Saturday.
