Tommy Dwight Keever

Tommy Dwight Keever, age 76, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, January 09, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1948, in Erwin to the late Virgil and Kathleen Harris Keever. Tommy was a lifelong resident of Erwin.

He worked for the Town of Erwin for several years and retired from the Unicoi County Highway Department after many years of service. Tommy was a member of Lily Dale Church of Christ.

Tommy enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He liked listening to Bluegrass Music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie Williams Keever; two sons: Joe and Danny Keever; infant sister, Brenda Keever; brother, Dennis Keever; nephew, Aaron Foster.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Keever of Antioch, Tennessee; grandchildren: Thatcher Keever, Amber Radford, Lexus Keever, Jacob Keever, Reanna Keever, and Lucas Keever, all of Erwin; two sisters: Betty Foster and husband, Gary of Erwin, and Kathy Bandy and husband, Lauren of Flat Rock, North Carolina; nieces: Candy Monk and husband, Scott of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Monica Gonzalez and husband, Freddy of Johnson City.

Tommy’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Banner Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
