Terry Kent “TK” McInturff, age 70, of Unicoi, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 05, 2023, at his residence. TK is a son of the late Kenneth and Mary Naomi Guinn McInturff. He lived most of his life in Unicoi.
TK was a member of Unicoi United Methodist Church. He liked to read his bible and Upper Room daily devotions.
TK owned and operated TK’s store in Unicoi prior to his retirement. He worked at his family business Crackerbees Paneling & Antiques where he was the store manager for construction materials. Also, TK was the Hardware Manager at Grassy Creek Hardware in Spruce Pine.
He loved wearing his cowboy boots, hats and decorating his home with western décor. TK enjoyed horseback riding and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved talking to people and took a genuine interest in their life. TK often reflected on the great memories he made with his late wife, Lisa, and adventures he had with all his friends. He still enjoyed listening to his 70’s rock music, especially Lynard Skynard.
TK loved his family dearly and adored spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, TK was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Padgett McInturff on August 23, 2013; one nephew and one great nephew.
TK leaves behind to cherish many great memories, his two sons: Aaron McInturff and Allon McInturff (Sarah); three grandchildren: Ethan McInturff, Paisley, and Kinsley; brother, Kevin McInturff (Susan); sister, Connie Rice (Mike); brothers-in-law: Alan Padgett and Stephen Padgett; several nieces and nephews also survive.
TK’s family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Shepherd’s Glen which is located just below Swingle Cemetery. His funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Pinner and Pastor Estil Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Swingle Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Freddie Lyle, Johnathan Kegley, Logan Lyle, Ethan Lyle, Don Whitson, Jr., Wesley Clark, Randall Riddle and Joe Cosey. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Smith, Landon Smith, Alan Padgett, and Stephen Padgett.
