Teresa Gail (Brummett) Lane

Teresa Gail Brummett Lane, age 68, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Bill and Wanda Simerly Brummett.

Teresa grew up in Unicoi County and graduated from Unicoi County High School in 1974. She worked at Walmart for several years. Teresa was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by one brother, Jeff Brummett, and her significant other, Clifford Barnes.

Teresa leaves behind to cherish her memory, her four children: April Gills, David Vance, Samantha Finch, and Jessica Kelley; grandchildren: Andrew Vance, Zara Vance, Harley Kelley, Aven Finch, and Kayden Finch; brothers: Billy Joe, Jimmy, Brian, and Bobby Brummett; special friends and neighbors, Victoria Bailey and Brandon Shepard; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will have a service celebrating Teresa’s life at a future date.
