Steven Mitchell Tapp

Steven Mitchell Tapp, age 70, of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He is the son of the late Ernest K. Tapp and Barbara Ellen Johnson Tapp.

Steven lived in Ohio for a few years where he was a Forklift Operator. However, he lived most of his life in Erwin. Steven was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church.

Steven was an avid sports fan. He played football for the Unicoi County Blue Devils. Steven's favorite team was the Cincinnati Bengals. He had a big, generous heart and Steven genuinely cared for others.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin “Butch” Tapp and one sister, Brenda Tapp Howell.

Steven is survived by his brother, Michael Tapp of Seymour; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Per Steven’s request there will be no services held.
