Steve Randolph Nettles

Steve Randolph Nettles, age 70, Unicoi, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He is a son of the late Thomas Henry Nettles and Virginia Flowers Nettles. Steve enjoyed living in different states during his life before settling in Unicoi.

He retired from Rayonier where he worked as a Stock Clerk for several years. Steve loved the outdoors, hiking in the mountains, traveling, listening to music and dancing. He was always involved with his children’s sports activities as they were growing up. Steve loved his family and watching his grandchildren play ball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother, Allen Jasper Nettles.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his four children: Kristi Sanders (Jeff), Stephanie Nettles, all of Nebo, NC, Ashley Nettles, Waycross, GA and Chad Highsmith (Shelby), Jesup, GA; four grandchildren: Jeremiah Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Armani Crews and Callahan Highsmith; one brother, Roger Nettles, Waycross, GA.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
