Stacie Lynn Porter, age 32, Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her residence. She is a daughter of Oliver Bryan Porter and Kimberly McNeal Porter. Stacie lived in La Porte, Indiana before moving to Unicoi with her family eighteen years ago.
Stacie was the Office Manager of Johnson City Ford. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Johnson City. Stacie was very artistic which led her to completing Cosmetology School and receiving her license as a Cosmetologist. She also learned how to decorate cakes and she enjoyed crafting as well as painting. Stacie played the piano, flute, and piccolo. She loved spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, and relaxing in her hammock.
Stacie adored her nieces and nephews. She loved her family and treasured spending time with them. One of Stacie’s favorite quotes was: “The world is changed by your example, not your opinion.” Paulo Coelho
Stacie leaves behind to cherish many wonderful memories, her parents, Oliver Bryan Porter and Kimberly Marie McNeal Porter of Unicoi; paternal grandparents: Charles and Doris Porter; maternal grandparents: Rolland and Barbara McNeal; her siblings: Samantha McKiel (Blake), Corey Porter, Andrea Chandler and Courtney Phillips (Matt); her nieces and nephews: Rylee, Nora, Matthew, Trysen and Chance; her fur babies: Meeko and Willow.
The Porter family will receive friends on Thursday, June 01, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Ryan Hackett will officiate her 7:00 p.m. funeral service. Stacie’s committal will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Corey Porter, Matt Phillips, Matthew Chandler, Blake McKiel, Jacob Porter, and Kent Bagwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Trysen McKiel and Chance Chandler. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
