Shelly Marlene Bible Brummett, age 59, Unicoi, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She is a daughter of the late Jarrell and Ethel Dukes Bible. Shelly was a native of Morristown and lived in Mosheim before moving to Unicoi ten years ago.
Shelly was a member of Canah Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was a hardworking and dedicated homemaker. Shelly enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers and cooking for family and friends with her husband. She adored her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her husband of nineteen years, Jimmy Brummett; one son, Jason Leffew (Jodie), Morristown; three daughters: Rachel Kuykendall (Jeffery), Morristown, Jenny Brummett, Hampton and Amanda Mills-Whitson (Justin), Gray; six grandchildren: Jakob Mills, Mason and Ellie Kuykendall, Jay and Kaylee Leffew, Brigid, Kenllee and Gemma Whitson; one brother, Stewart Bible, Knoxville; one sister, Shelia Bible, Greeneville; Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Janice Lou Dukes; special friends, Carol Bowman and Teresa Whitaker; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Canah Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Pastor Mark Simmons will officiate at the 5:00 P.M. funeral service.
