Scotty "Tennessee Scotty" Lee Currington

Scotty Lee “Tennessee Scotty” Currington, age 58, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He is a native of Carter County and a son of Joseph and Eula Scalf Currington.

Scotty was a self-employed handyman. He had a very generous heart and loved helping others anytime they needed something done. Scotty was of the Christian Faith. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. Scotty had a wonderful sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Joseph, and Eula Currington, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-seven years, Brenda Edwards Currington; son, Brian Furches; two sisters: Joy Currington Jones (Andrew) and Shelly Currington Webb (Billy); his dog and best buddy, Chia; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Johnny Ledford for helping Scotty and his family out during his illness.
