Sandra (McInturff) Deakins
Obituary
Sandra Deakins, age 77, Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, July 05, 2023, at the Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. She lived most of her life in Erwin and is the daughter of the late Katherine Renfro.
Sandra was a homemaker, and she was formerly employed at Erwin Health Care Center. She was a member of Unicoi Baptist Church. Sandra loved her cats, painting, growing flowers and taking care of others.
In addition to her mother, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Deakins and her son, Donald “Donnie” Kammire on December 7, 2019.
Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Jamie Kammire of Erwin and her sister, Linda McCulley of Erwin.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Jones Cemetery. Pastor Charlie Byrd will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. on Friday.
