Ryan Adam Cichowski was called home to God on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the age of 32. He lived in Unicoi County most of his life, where he enjoyed looking out over the idyllic mountains, he called home. He often said there’s nowhere more beautiful in the world.
Ryan attended Northeast State Community College and earned an associate degree in industrial technology. He took on a job as a machinist at International Tool Grinding. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed his family, playing video games, watching movies, experimenting with his 3D printer and most of all, cuddling and pestering his two cats, Stache and Lune.
Everyone who knows Ryan is filled with great sadness as we realize we will no longer be greeted with his warm eyes and kind smile. We will no longer feel his solid handshake and welcoming embrace. We will no longer join in his contagious laughter, learn from his bits of wisdom or witness his enormous generosity. But also, everyone who knows Ryan will have peace as we remember his relationship with God. We will laugh out loud when we share memories. We will find our strength as we remember the life Ryan patterned for us, and we will use his example to make us better human beings.
Ryan has left this world to join his father, Berry Cichowski; his mamaw, Willa Davis Chambers; his papaw, Fred Davis; his pap, Bill Chambers; and his papaw, Steve Cichowski.
Family members cherishing his memory include his wife of seven years, Amanda Carver Cichowski; his mother, Elizabeth Cichowski Berry and stepfather, George Berry; his siblings, Aaron Cichowski, Kerry and Jonathan Miller, and Kimberly Cichowski; niece and nephews, Chase, Cailin, and Cash Miller; mamaw, Joanne Cichowski; father-in-law, Charles Carver; mother-in-law, Sandra Carver and several uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends.
Ryan’s family extends a special thank you to the staff of Sycamore Shoals and Johnson City Medical Center, especially to their respiratory departments who went above and beyond to ensure comfort and respect. Thank you to all who have visited, called and messaged.
A memorial service will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 in Shepherd’s Glen; located at Swingle Cemetery in Unicoi, TN.
