Ronald Lee Keplinger, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Ronald, better known as Ronnie, was born in Tennessee to the late Burnie and Aleen Keplinger.
Ronnie was a man of strong Christian faith. He often spoke of God, reminding those around him that there was never a problem too big for his “good Lord” to handle.
He dedicated over 40 years of his life to his work at TPI Corporation in Gray, Tennessee. Outside of work, Ronnie was a true outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting, fishing, and farming. In the quiet hours of the morning, he could often be found sipping a cup of black coffee while playing solitaire on his computer.
Ronnie loved listening to Willie Nelson, watching westerns, and spending time with those he held dear. He was a friend to all, and if you were lucky enough to be considered his friend, he likely called you “Merley”. This special nickname meant he thought very fondly of you.
Above all, Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, and Papaw. He held a special place in his heart for his son and granddaughter.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years, Eula Kay Keplinger. It brings comfort to know they are now happily reunited in Heaven.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Keplinger; his stepson, Eric Lingerfelt (Rowena Davis); his granddaughter, Ali Harris (Hunter Harris); and his beloved cat, Tom.
The Keplinger family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the funeral home. After the visitation we will be traveling in procession to Roselawn Memory Gardens where Ronnie’s graveside service will be held with Pastor Steven Miller officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
