Robert "Bob" L. Keefer

Robert L. “Bob” Keefer, age 82, Erwin passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Christian Care Center. He was born and raised in Hagerstown, MD and a son of the late E.T. Keefer, Jr and Edna Kindle Keefer.

Bob was a US Navy Veteran. During his four years in the Navy, he was a boxer and started his electrical training. When he was honorably discharged, he attended technical college for three years in Hagerstown receiving his Electrician Certification. Bob moved to Erwin in 1966 and started his own business, Bob’s Electric Service which he had for forty years. He was the oldest and longest standing member of the Erwin Moose Lodge and enjoyed spending time with his friends there. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and fishing. He loved animals, Nascar, and Boxing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald Keefer of Maryland and Thomas Keefer of Arizona.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wonderful wife of fifty-four years, Ella Phillips Keefer; two daughters: Mona Archer of Medina, OH, Kristy Young and husband, Rob of Destin, FL; four grandchildren: Kody Archer of Brunswick, OH, Kristen Archer of Berea, OH, Keefer Young and Elliot Young both of Destin, Fl; one brother, Donald Keefer and wife, Nancy of PA; one sister, Cindy Koontz and husband, Tim of MD; several nieces and nephews also survive.
