Rita Kay Hubbard

Rita Kay Hubbard, age 68, Unicoi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.  She was a daughter of the late Sam and JoAnn Dheel. She was raised and lived in Louisa, KY before moving to Unicoi in 1997.

Rita was a US Army Veteran where she served as a Medical Corpsman. She attended Limestone Cove Methodist Church. Rita loved spending time with her family and having cookouts. She loved being outdoors.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband David Hubbard on January 7, 2007.

She is survived by her three sons: Joshua Hubbard and wife, Becky, Ivan Hubbard and fiancé, Natalee, Devon Hubbard and wife, Cierra; one grandson, Xander Hubbard; three cousins: Jackie Dheel, Susie Dheel, and Missy Dheel. Numerous friends also survive.

The Hubbard family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Unicoi Funeral Home.
