Randy "Moose" Renfro Obituary

Randy “Moose” Renfro, age 77, of Erwin, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, while he was surrounded by his family at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Erwin and son of the late Carl and Elizabeth Kegley Renfro.

He was a United States Army Veteran who honorably served his country from 1965-1968. During his service in the Army, he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal. Randy worked with his family as a Brick Mason. He began working with United Intermountain Phone Company in 1968 and remained there until his health began to fail in 1994.

Randy was a devoted Christian, and he attended Love Chapel Christian Church. He volunteered alongside his wife and son with many organizations including the annual Erwin Jaycee’s Christmas shopping with the children. Randy was a member of the Erwin Centennial Masonic Lodge #491 F&AM.

He loved sports and Randy was an avid University of Tennessee fan. Randy loved taking his family camping. He was a very outgoing person and Randy loved to give big Moose hugs to everyone! In his later years he enjoyed woodworking.

Randy leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, his loving and devoted wife of fifty-six years who never left his side, Becky Renfro; his pride and joy, who stayed right with him, his son, Brad Renfro; sister, Carlen Bannister (John); several aunts, nieces, nephews, and many cousins also survive.
