Rachel Maria Williams

Rachel Maria Williams, age 49, Erwin, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at her residence. She lived most of her life in Unicoi County and is a daughter of Ernest Williams and Martha Clouse Barb.

She was a homemaker. Rachel was baptized at Clear Branch Baptist Church when she was young. She loved being outdoors in the mountains and going to the beach. Rachel enjoyed growing flowers, collecting windchimes, crystals and face masks. She adored her granddaughter, Cora Rose and loved being a Nana.

In addition to her parents, Rachel leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons: Jacob Luke Harris and Jameson Rathe Thomas, both of Erwin; her lifetime partner, Gary Lynn “Jake” Harris; granddaughter, Cora Rose Thomas; half-sister, Amanda Elrod, Meadowview, VA; several special friends also survive.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in the Clouse Family Cemetery. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday.
