Philip Arthur Bolson

Philip Arthur Bolson, age 67, Erwin, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a son the late Arthur Claude and Mary Jeanette Parker Bolson. Philip was a native of Flint, MI and was raised in Livermore, CA, but had lived with his family in several eastern states before moving to Erwin in 2003. He was retired from Energy Solutions, having over forty years in the Nuclear Industry. Philip attended Calvary Baptist Church. He loved music and was devoted to his family. He was a proud grandfather. Philip leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-eight years, Kathy Bolson, two sons: Christopher Bolson (Tara), Elizabethton, and David Bolson (Kayla), Erwin; three grandchildren: Aiden, Samuel, and Cassidy; two sisters: Linda Weitzeil and Karen Winslow. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home. Pastor David Crutchfield will officiate at the 7:00 PM funeral service. Committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:55 AM Thursday.
