Patricia "E" Bennett

Patricia “E” Bennett, age 66, Erwin, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her home after a lengthy respiratory illness. Finally, she can breathe again! She was a daughter of the late Champ and Katie Lee Gentry.

For those of us that knew E, we loved her witty sayings, unwavering honesty, and Sunday dinners. If you ever came over to visit E you were most certainly offered a piece of candy or a special treat she had cooked. She had a talent for keeping plants alive and making people feel loved. E adored her grandchildren as much as she loved anything else in her life. In the Summer, E worked hard to get a good tan and enjoyed the sand between her toes as she hunted for sharks’ teeth at the beach. In the Winter, you could find her working for hours on a good puzzle with Annie and Danielle.

In addition to her parents, E was preceded in death by one brother, J.W. Rice; two sisters: Ola Mary Harris and Janice Rice.

E leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of forty-five years, Frank Rotha Bennett; one daughter, Danielle Barrett and husband, William; two grandchildren: Boston and Sofie Barrett; six sisters: Dorothy Henry, Eva Harding, Joann Clouse, Judy Sprouse, Laura Shelton, and Evelyn Cooper; one sister-in-law; several brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and her special fur baby Annie.

Per E’s wishes no formal services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant one in your yard in memory of E.
