Myrtle Ellen (Smith) Shelton

Myrtle Ellen Shelton, 84, of Erwin, TN went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2022. Myrtle was born in South Boston, VA on September 5, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents Fulton L. Smith and Thelma Burton Smith Blanks. She lived most of her life in Newport News, VA and moved to Erwin, TN in 2015 to be near her son and daughter.

She is survived by her brother, Edmund Blanks, and his wife Cathy; her son, Larry Shelton, and his wife Anna; her daughter, Teresa Metcalf, and her husband Raye; her grandsons: Stuart Shelton and Noah Metcalf; her nephews: Jonathan and Ryan Blanks; and niece, Erin Blanks.

Private service will be held in South Boston, VA at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Erwin Healthcare and Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
