Myrtle (McNabb) Davis

Myrtle Marie McNabb Davis, age 81, Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Franklin Woods Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Bumpus Cove Community and a daughter of the late Fred and Nellie Helton McNabb.

Myrtle was a homemaker and a member of Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing with her family, The McNabb Sisters Quartet. Myrtle loved children and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Ray “Bud” Davis on February 19, 2019; three brothers and four sisters.

Myrtle leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sisters: Sarah Foss (Skip) and Ruth Bailey, all of Erwin; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews whom she considered her grandchildren also survive.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 21, 2021 in the Bumpus Cove Cemetery. Reverend Richard Tittle and Reverend Brian Brown will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:00 PM on Friday.
