Morris Henry Riddle, Jr.

Morris Henry Riddle Jr, age 91, Erwin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday June 15, 2024 at the Center on Aging and Health. He is the son of the late Morris Henry Riddle Senior and Modenie Riddle. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York but spent much of his time in South Florida before moving to Erwin.

 Morris was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved music and old movies.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny, Eddie and Tommy; his sister Dorothy and his son Christopher.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Ana Celia Riddle, his sisters Arlene Zimmerman (Ziggy), MaryEllen Riddle, two sons: Richard Riddle (Monique) and James Riddle (Darlene) and daughters, Donna Keath of Erwin; Jenny Cruz (Osvaldo) North Carolina and Jackie Sanchez (Jesus Vigo Jr) of Florida; daughter in law Susi Castrataro of Texas; 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024 in the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Father Kenneth Wandera will officiate. Committal will be held at 12:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery Columbarium.
