Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Patton DeBusk, age 74, of Hampstead, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025, after a long struggle with dementia leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Beth is a daughter of the late Joseph and Glenna Ray Patton.
She dedicated thirty-four years to nursing, providing exceptional care and comfort to countless patients across Minnesota and Tennessee. Beth was a long-time member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid hobbyist, who enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzles, games, travel, and scuba diving. Beth spent many years as a supportive band mom. She was a caring mother and wife, cherishing every moment spent with her family. Beth was known for her sweet nature and quick wit; she brought joy to all who knew her. Her kindness and loving spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Joe Patton.
Survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Charles “Chuck” DeBusk of Hampstead, North Carolina; children: Amy Lynn Henderson (Ben), Jim Roberts, Jr. (Brenda), and her stepdaughter, Amy Monroe (Bryan); grandchildren: Dylan Smith (Heidi), Lauren Smith, William Henderson, Reese Roberts, Hunter Monroe, and Kieran Monroe; niece, Kathy Patton-Miller.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Beth’s funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Laws officiating in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Ray Rice Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
