Mary (Tilson) Wiltrout

Mary Tilson Wiltrout, age 86, Erwin, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. She is a daughter of the late Troy Tilson and Mattie Willis. Mary lived in Baltimore, Maryland, Puerto Rico and Norfolk, Virginia before moving to Erwin in 1997. 

She was a homemaker and attended Hulen Baptist Church. Mary loved children, dogs and going to church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edward Wiltrout on October 28, 2011; two sons: Richard Allen Wiltrout and Gordon Scott Wiltrout; two brothers: G.T. Tilson and Harold Tilson. 

Survivors include her two daughters: Marion Ann Wiltrout, Florida and Jodi Morrison (William “Bill”), Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; nine grandchildren: Robert, Craig, Adam, Michael, Kayla, Lindsey, Addison, Emmie and Ashley; one great grandson, Carter; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Ferrell Peterson will officiate. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:55 P.M. on Friday.
