Mark Steven Anderson

Mark Steven Anderson, age 55, of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his residence. He is a son of the late Reverend William Burke Anderson and Linda Sue Dotson Anderson. Mark was born in Illinois; however, he lived most of his life in Erwin.

He retired from the Erwin Police Department after serving as a police officer for many years. He enjoyed watching college football, especially the Vols.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Anderson.

Survivors include his two sons: Brandon Anderson and Tyler Anderson (Kourtney), all of Erwin; five grandchildren: Vincent Anderson, Jaydee Barnett, Wayland Anderson, Aubrey Pittman, and Kailani Anderson; several cousins and friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held for Mark at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 03, 2024 in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
