Lynn Patrick Brost

Lynn Patrick Brost, age 65, of Unicoi, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 09, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 02, 1959, in Monroe, Michigan, to Dianne Cain Brost Phillips and the late Donald Brost. Lynn lived most of his adult life in Mars Hill, North Carolina before moving back to Michigan for eight years. He and his wife moved to Unicoi in 2023.

Lynn was employed as an LPN at Center on Aging & Health. He was very loving and had a big heart which he wore on his sleeve. Lynn loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and snowmobiling. He loved waterfalls, the lakes, and exploring lighthouses all around Michigan with his wife, Sandra.

Lynn is survived by his wife of eight years, Sandra Blankenship Brost; his mother, Dianne Cain Phillips; one daughter, Alexandra Brost of Asheville, NC; stepchildren: Gabe, Alex and Lauren; brother, Don Brost (Jennifer); sister, Jill Calhoun (Bruce); six nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held for Lynn at a later date.
