Lucille Griffith

Lucille Griffith, age 92, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born in Mitchell County, North Carolina on September 20, 1933. Lucille is a daughter of the late Conway and Dollie Cooper Griffith. She lived most of her life in Erwin.

Lucille was a member of Peterson’s Chapel Church in Poplar, North Carolina. She was a homemaker.

Lucille loved working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers, and her animals. She took great pleasure in indulging her nieces and nephews with love and taking care of them. Lucille was always there for her family anytime they needed her.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her siblings: William Roscoe Griffith, Virginia Hoyle, Thomas Griffith, Charlie Griffith, Jr., Halvie Griffith, and Anna Griffith.

Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three brothers: Clyde Griffith (Charlyne), Walter Griffith (Pam), Jim Griffith (Diane), and Lola Nelson, all of Erwin; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
