Lois "Lucy" Ann (Landstrom) Avery

Lois “Lucy” Ann Landstrom Avery, age 80, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Glenn Landstrom, Sr. and Ella Halverson Landstrom.

Lucy lived most of her life in Pine Island, Florida before moving to Erwin in 2018. She was the Mayor of Pine Island.

Lucy attended First Baptist Church in Erwin, and she was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed antiquing and going to flea markets to find a great bargain. Lucy loved shopping on Amazon, QVC, and HSN!

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Avery. 

Lucy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, Glenn Landstrom and his wife, Pamela of Erwin; nieces: Caraline Landstrom, Heidi Shoun (Jeremiah), and Bonnie Dixon; her cousins: Glen and Gary Halverson.

Lucy will be inurned in the Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
