Linda Joyce (Doty) Shook

Linda Joyce Doty Shook, age 77, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, April 06, 2026, at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. She is a daughter of the late Willard Howard Doty and Beryl Edwards Doty.

Linda lived most of her life in Delaware before returning to Erwin in 2006. She retired as a cook after many years in the restaurant industry.

Linda was a very hard worker her entire life and she enjoyed working as a cook. She liked to watch TV, especially wrestling, and word find puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two sisters: Jane Doty, and Shirley Beam; one brother, Willard Kelly.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two children: Cynthia Shook and Charlie Shook, both of Erwin; granddaughter, Lauren Shook; two brothers: Lonnie Doty (Teresa) and Dwight Doty, all of Unicoi; several nieces and nephews also survive.
