Linda R. English, age 60, Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Melvin Banner and Louise Tipton Banner Bennett. Linda was a member of Upper Higgins Creek Baptist Church. She was a seamstress at the former Red Kap Industries. Linda loved flowers, puzzle books, her cats and little children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy English on November 12, 2010; step-father, Troy Bennett and brother-in-law, Keith Gillis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her fiance, Ronnie Duncan; two sisters: Marsha Barnett (Terry), Erwin and Tammy Gillis, Prattville, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the Evergreen Mausoleum. Pastor Kevin Laws will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the mausoleum by 10:50 AM on Friday.
