Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Honeycutt
Kenneth entered this world on February 1, 1958 and was called home on December 13, 2022.
Kenny honorably served in the US Navy and then in the ensuing years has worked as an electrician, as well as an air conditioning and HVAC Technician. He retired in 2019 and has since stayed busy spending time with his family and as a member of the local Moose Lodge. He served as Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #939 from 2014-2016 and 2019-2020. Kenny was a proud and very active fundraiser for the Loyal Order #939 Mooseheart/Moosehaven Organizations. The Mooseheart donates money for children’s education and the Moosehaven donates money to help the elderly. Kenny was a member of the Erwin Church of Christ in Erwin, TN.
Kenny loved God, Jesus, and his family. What better thing can be said of a man? May God bless you and give you a peaceful rest. The cares of this world are no more for you are now home. God bless you brother; we will truly miss you.
The period between our birth and our death, we call time. What is time? Is it a concept or simply a word we find defined in Websters dictionary? It is said that time flows like the sand found inside an hourglass. This may be true as we are allotted only so much time. Only God knows the true meaning of time and how much we have. Kenny’s time is now gone but the memories we share will continue on through time for generations to come.
He is survived by his father, Darrell Bruce Honeycutt, Sr.; his sisters: Robyn Louise Bryant and Elizabeth Ann Martin Honeycutt; his brothers: Darrell Bruce Honeycutt, Jr. and Hugh “Rusty” Russell Honeycutt; his sons: Darrell Joseph “Joey” Honeycutt and Kenneth Noble Honeycutt; his grandchildren, and his wife Shelia Foster Honeycutt. His mother Virginia Lee Harris Honeycutt and brother Keith Allen Honeycutt left this world ahead of Kenneth and waits for him on the other side of the veil.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the funeral home chapel. Kenny’s service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Tim Hall officiating. Committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by Kingsport VFW Post 4933.
