Justin Blake Ricker, age 39, of Union, New Jersey, formerly of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 06, 2026, at his residence. He is a son of Diane Foster Story and the late Greg Ricker. Blake was born and raised in Johnson City where he lived most of his life. He moved to New Jersey three years ago.
Blake graduated from Science Hill High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King University.
Blake was employed at Atlantic Health Care System in New Jersey. He was a RN who was passionate about caring for his patients. Blake loved working at the Ambulatory Surgery Center with Atlantic Health. He loved his work family.
Blake had a kind and generous heart, and he would do anything for others. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was always eager to share his faith. Blake was a member of Liberty Fellowship Church in Johnson City. Blake will be remembered as an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend.
Blake loved his family dearly. His dogs, Cooper and Lucca were his children, and he loved them very much. Blake’s bright smile, laughter, and personality will be missed by those who love him.
In addition to his father, Blake was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Ricker; stepfather, Vernon Story; maternal grandfather, Steve Foster; maternal great grandparents, Guy and Ila Foster.
Blake leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Diane Foster Story of Jonesborough; brother, Brennan Ricker (fiancé, Alex Wyman); niece, Mayland Ricker; maternal grandmother, Dottie Foster Collins and step grandfather, Jimmy Collins; nephew, Trenton Taylor Ricker.
Blake’s family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Grace Freewill Baptist Church. His celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Foster officiating. Music will be provided by Jessica Starnes and Amy Duncan.
