Judy Carol (Wilson) Taylor

Judy Carol Taylor, age 74, Unicoi, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the age of 74. She was an Erwin native and daughter of the late Buster and Mildred Wilson.

Judy was a nurse for over 50 years, she spent her life helping and caring for those in her community. She was particularly fond of her time spent with Dawn of Hope and formed a close bond with the clients.

Judy was an avid reader and animal lover. She loved gardening and working outside in her earlier days. In her later time, you could find her planning her next cruise with her 3 beloved pups by her side.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her daughter, Douglas Arrowood on March 23, 1974.

Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter: Robin Arrowood Summers, husband John, and grandson Jordan Garreffa; one son, Corey Taylor, granddaughter: Katelyn Caughran, husband Chris, and great-grandson Oliver; her sister, Patsy McCurry; special friend and father of her son, Jackie Taylor; many other extended family members also survive, including her beloved pups: Squeak, Cricket, and Nugget.

Judy’s graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend E.L. Wheeler will officiate. Pallbearers will be Corey Taylor, Chris Caughran, Jackie Taylor, Jordan Garreffa, John Summers, and Tony Garreffa. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Unicoi County Animal Shelter, 185 N. Industrial Drive, Erwin, TN 37650.
