Judith Anne (Potter) Thomas

Judith Anne Potter Thomas, age 74, of Johnson City, passed away on Monday, December 01, 2025, at Ballad Health Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She is the daughter of the late Charles Potter and Oleene Peterson Potter. Judith was born and raised in Erwin then she lived in Thomasville, North Carolina for several years before making her home in Johnson City.

Judith loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren. She enjoyed their family trips in the mountains. Judith’s favorite hobbies were cooking, watching HGTV, listening to classic rock and playing games on her tablet.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Potter.

Judith leaves behind to cherish many wonderful memories, her three children: Terri Thomas, Charles Thomas, Sr., and Dr. Leslie Thomas and her husband, Gordon Beverly; grandchildren: Natalee Thomas, Corey Thomas, Charles Thomas, Jr., Chelsie Thomas, Cassie Thomas, Camille Beverly, and GT Beverly; great grandchildren: Kylee Thomas, Mason Necessary, and Kason Necessary; brother, Fabian Potter; sister, Lisa Potter.

The Thomas family will receive friends on Saturday, December 06, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Judith’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Tim Tapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
