Jome Shane Ellison

Jome Shane Ellison, age 43, of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 02, 1980, in Rockwood, Tennessee and he was raised in Sevierville. Jome lived in Bristol for a short time before moving to Erwin seven years ago.

He was the Branch Manager at Lendmark Financial Group. Jome attended North Ridge Community Church in downtown Erwin. Jome was a member of the Erwin Elks Lodge #1985 and a support member of Veterans of Vietnam Motorcycle Club. He was very patriotic, a proud supporter of the USA, he appreciated and loved all military veterans.

Some of his hobbies were riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, camping and just being in the great outdoors. Jome absolutely enjoyed going on cruises, he had twenty-two under his belt and great stories to share about each of them. He was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs even though he was a good ole Tennessee boy! Jome liked to play craps when he took trips to the casino. He enjoyed listening to every genre of music.

Jome was the epitome of a social butterfly, he genuinely liked people. His perfect day was when he made other people smile. Jome loved his family and friends dearly; spending time with them brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Shannon Garmany.

Jome leaves behind to cherish many wonderful memories, his wife, Holli Ellison; his children: Alaina Hargroves, Tyse Atwood (Anthony), Tyler Atwood and wife, Carley; grandchildren: Marlo Atwood and Mason Atwood; his parents, J.O. Milford Ellison, Jr., and Sandy Wampler; brother, Shawn Garmany; his Mamaw; Aunt Teresa and Uncle Dennis; cousins: Kristal (Patrick) and Brian (Sarah); grand pups: Zeus and Gus; numerous friends whom he loved like family.

Jome’s celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Tetrick Funeral Services, 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City. A visitation will be held following the service for Jome’s family and friends.
