John Jordan, III Obituary

John Henry Jordan III, a resident of Jonesborough, TN, ascended from earth on April 24,2024.

He was born October 9, 1978, in Garden City, Michigan. His greatest loves, who survive him, are his daughter “mini me” Delilah Jordan-Terry, his brother Michael Jordan, his mom Mary Jordan and his dad John Jordan II as well his large extended “soul” family.

John graduated from Carlson High School in Gibraltar, Michigan. He attended Baker College with a major in Construction Management.

He ran his own pool installation company, JJ Pools, and loved creating beautiful pool spaces for his customers.

In 2019, John moved to Jonesborough, TN to be with his love Jennie, where he lived within a community of friends. He helped build and expand the 15-acre healing center, Spirit Reunions Sanctuary. He built tiny houses, sheds, barns, and decks (off site) as well.

John built everything with his heart and love. Guests who come to the sanctuary feel his love he deposited in everything he touched and created.

John was certified as a Reiki Master energy healer and his heart was felt the most when he was doing this work. He is remembered for his amazing healing energy and the selfless way he offered it to anyone who could benefit from it over the years. He was known for his pure heart and his loving hugs.

John was a descendant of Native Americans in blood and heart. He often shared his memories of growing up participating in these traditions. He became the Medicine Wheel Fire Keeper at the sanctuary. We have gratitude for this service he provided for his community. His spirit will be felt at all future ceremonies.

The animals at the sanctuary will miss his love and hugs. They love him as much as he loves them. His community and soul family will remember him by many names:

JJ, Frog,  pool boy, cat herder, karaoke star, comic relief, star boy, snake whisperer, leprechaun, lion warrior, big foot, brother bear, and Brad Pitt’s doppelgänger.

But most of all he was a deeply loved son, brother, dad, and soul brother to so many more than we can name here. His physical presence is so missed.

Fly high JJ, we love you for eternity.

John’s obituary was lovingly written by his partner, Jennie Byers.
