JoAnne Irene (Pendleton) Bailey

JoAnne Bailey, age 66, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She is a daughter of the late John and Mildred Spangle Pendleton. JoAnne lived most of her life in Kingsport before moving to Erwin in 2001.

She retired from Eastman after twenty-four and a half years of service. JoAnne was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. JoAnne enjoyed going to Dollywood. She liked going out to eat at her two favorite restaurants Cheddar’s and Texas Roadhouse.

JoAnne leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of twenty-four years, Ricky Bailey; two children: Christopher “Chris” Addington of Gray and Pamela Addington of Kingsport; two grandsons: Jordan Clark and Gage Steffey; two brothers: David Bowen (Sherry) and Jim Bowen (Wanda); several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor David Crutchfield will officiate the 7:00 p.m. funeral service. JoAnne’s committal will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:55 a.m. on Saturday.
