Jim Henry Correll

James “Jim” Henry Correll, age 86, of Erwin, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He is a son of the late Benjamin Correll and Ruth Carroll Correll. Jim lived most of his life in Erwin.

He retired from NFS after thirty-nine ½ years of service. Jim was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed feeding the fish at the Erwin Linear Trail ponds, reading, and watching sports on TV.

Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one son, Randy Correll; four sisters: Tommi Phillips, Patty Sue Edwards, Verna Lou Dulaney and Amalee Wilson.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sons: Jimmy Correll (Judy) of Johnson City and Allan Correll (Freddi) of Jonesborough; daughter-in-law, Debbie; one brother, Kenny Correll (Gina) of Erwin; two sisters: Mary Ruth Lewis (Dale) of Fall Branch and Charlotte McFall (Rick) of Georgia; two grandsons and two granddaughters; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private family committal will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.
