James "Jimmy" Ellis, Jr.

James “Jimmy” Ellis, Jr., age 81, of Edgefield, South Carolina, passed away on March 17, 2025, at Edgefield Post Acute Center where he resided for the past eight years. He was born on November 8, 1943, to the late James Ellis and Dorothy Ellis Harris.

Jimmy was a resident of Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina for thirty years. He was of the Christian Faith.

He is survived by one brother, Reverend Donnie Harris and his wife, Sandy; one nephew, Loren Harris and wife, Cindy; several cousins also survive.

Jimmy’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 03, 2025, at Cherokee Community Freewill Baptist Church. Reverend Donnie Harris will officiate. Music will be provided by Loren Harris.

Inurnment will follow in the Cherokee Community Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
