Jamee Elin (Vance) Franklin

Jamee Elin Vance Franklin, age 50, formerly of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 06, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a daughter of James “Bud” Vance and Susan Shoun Vance.

Jamee grew up in Erwin then moved to Johnson City thirty-one years ago. She moved to Jackson, Mississippi three years ago. Jamee was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Erwin; however, she moved her membership to Southside Baptist Church after moving to Johnson City.

Jamee spent most of her working career in the medical field.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2020.

Jamee is survived by her parents, James “Bud” and Susan Vance and her two sons, who all live in Johnson City.

Jamee’s wish was to be cremated with no services.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;” Psalm 23:4
