Glenn Frank Ledford, age 91, of Unicoi, passed away on Wednesday, July 02, 2025, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and son of the late Mose Ledford and Texie Harris Ledford.
Glenn retired from Hoover Ball after many years of service. He was also a former employee of Clinchfield Railroad. Glenn also served as the Unicoi County Bee Inspector for several years.
Glenn was a lifetime member of Unicoi Freewill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Washington County Beekeeper’s Club.
Glenn loved raising his bees and harvesting his delicious honey. He enjoyed trips to Dollywood and working with his hands on various do-it-yourself projects throughout his home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Powers.
Glenn leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of twenty-three years, Alma Yarber Ledford; son, Randall Ledford of Unicoi; stepchildren: Melanie Woodby (Joe), Lisa Potter (Bobby), Sharon Peterson (Kenneth), Tim Hardin, and Roger Hardin; sister, Ethel M. Persinger; several step grandchildren also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 08, 2025, in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Preacher Nathan Jennings will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday.
