Ginger Lou (Harris) Hoyle

Ginger Lou Harris Hoyle, age 75, Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Christian Care Center of Unicoi County. She is a daughter of the late Oscar Clinton Harris and Elaine Murphy Hall. Ginger was born in Spruce Pine, North Carolina and she lived most of her life in Erwin.

She was of the Christian Faith. Ginger retired from Premier Refractories where she worked as Quality Control Manager and Plant Buyer for twenty-four years. She enjoyed camping, flowers and she was a loving caregiver to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant sister, Robin Harris; one nephew, Anthony “Todd” Chapman and her stepfather, David Hall.

Ginger leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of twenty-one years, Terry Hoyle; two daughters: Angela Sullins (Robbie), Erwin and Amy Rutter, Marshall, NC; four stepchildren: Sabrina White (T.J.), Amanda Cooper (Nathan), Andrew Hoyle (Kirsten) and Kimber Hoyle, all of Erwin; nine grandchildren: Jonathan Sullins (Sidney Shelton), Hannah Carter (Eric), Matthew Pate, Trenton White, Laken White, Noly Cooper, Rowdy Hoyle, Brandy Hoyle and Laura Riddle; three great grandchildren: Aiden Gouge, Breonnah Lane and Zaylah Sullins; two sisters: Sharon Bellamy and Beverly Harris, both of Erwin; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastor Noah Taylor will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m. on Sunday.
