Gerald R. McIntosh, age 84, Flag Pond, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on Friday, December 02, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Flag Pond and son of the late Carl and Viola Craine McIntosh.
He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Gerald retired from Morrill Motors. He enjoyed working, farming, hunting, and fishing. Gerald loved people and he never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by four brothers: Theodore, Dallas, Clarence and Venious McIntosh; three sisters: Dell Shelton, Effie English, and Robbie Metcalf.
Gerald leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-one years, Eula Jo Shook McIntosh; one brother, Charles McIntosh; two sisters: Gracie Metcalf and Hazel Loyd; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 06, 2022, at the funeral home chapel. Revered Craig Shelton, Reverend David Effler and Reverend Josh Vestile will officiate the 1:00 p.m. service. Music will be provided by George and Shirlene Metcalf. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. George Metcalf will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Eula Jo would like to thank the staff at Christian Care Center and Amedisys Hospice for all the care and love given to Gerald. May God Bless all of you. Also, special love and appreciation to my special nieces and nephew, Connie, Kayla and David Grubb for all they have done to help us.
