Fred Blaine Shelton

Fredrick “Fred” Blaine Shelton, age 79, of Unicoi, passed away on Tuesday, October 08, 2024, at his residence. He was born and raised in Caretta, West Virginia to the late Blaine Shelton and Cenia Harris Shelton. Fred lived in North Carolina before making his home in Unicoi several years ago.

He retired from Fingerhut Corporation. Fred was very involved and active at the Johnson City Senior Center. He enjoyed traveling and visited many different countries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, and one sister.

Fred’s survivors include his only child, Tad Rogers Shelton and his wife, Charlotte; two grandchildren: Phillip and Cameron Shelton; five great grandchildren: Samuel, Levi, Isaac, Madeline, and Lucas; one brother, Terry G. Shelton; one sister, Cathy C. Gross; several nieces and nephews also survive.
