Frances Ann (Osburn) Ray

Frances Ann Osburn Ray, age 86, Unicoi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 06, 2024. She was a native of Unicoi and daughter of the late Walter and Ruth McInturff Osburn. Frances lived most of her life in Rockledge, Florida. In 2010 she and her husband began living part-time in Unicoi.

Frances was a member of Palm Shores Christian Church in Palm Shores, Florida and she attended Unicoi Chrisitan Church while she was residing in Unicoi. She loved attending church.

She worked with her husband in the pharmacies they owned, Frances handled all the administrative and accounting duties. Also, Frances enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Frances treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She had a gentle and kind heart towards everyone. Frances liked to crochet, cross stitch, and collect Precious Moments figurines.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by two sisters: Polly Marie Love, and Betty Jean Garland.

Frances leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, her husband of fifty-nine years, David C. Ray; her children: David T. Ray (Ann), of Coral Springs, FL, and Joy Miller (Christopher) of Harrisburg, MO; three grandsons: Joshua Tyler Ray, Brandon Timothy Ray, and Jasper Wayne Miller; one great granddaughter, Nicole Leeann Ray; sister, Carolyn Harris of Collinsville, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Ray family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Unicoi Christian Church. Minister Palma Bennett, Minister Lance Hanbey, and Minister Greg Dill will officiate the 1:00 p.m. funeral service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted however, those wishing may make memorial contributions in memory of Frances to: Palm Shores Christian Church and/or Unicoi Chrisitan Church.
