Fern Marie (Dover) Bradley

Fern Marie Dover Bradley, age 93, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Center on Aging and Health. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Lucy Dover.

Mrs. Bradley was a member of Unicoi Church of God. She was a former employee of Industrial Garment. Mrs. Bradley was self-employed in the coin laundry business for many years. She was a licensed Realtor and member of MENSA.

Mrs. Bradley and her husband traveled to all fifty states, 12 foreign countries, and 7 Caribbean Islands. She also traveled to the Great Wall of China and Russia with her children.

Mrs. Bradley always said when she opened that first road map, there was no turning back!

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Hubert Bradley on July 12, 2006.

Mrs. Bradley is survived by her four children: Judy Penland (Edward), Kent Bradley (Jan), Patti Davis (Gale Self), and Kelly McNutt (Lauren); grandchildren: Alison Penland, Aaron Bradley, Jared Bradley, Bradley Johnson, Adam McNutt and Alexa Richards; great grandchildren: Brandon Mann, Ryan Johnson, David McNutt, Abram McNutt, and Daphne Richards.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Governor’s Bend for all the love and attention given to her in the last five years of her life.

Private services will be held for the Bradley family. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to your charity of choice in memory of Mrs. Bradley. Then, find a road map, pack a bag and take a trip. She would love that!
