Faye Ann (McIntosh) Bailey

Faye Ann McIntosh Bailey, age 86, of Erwin, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Friday, June 12, 2026, while she was surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born and raised in Flag Pond. Faye is a daughter of the late Bill and Mandy Tipton McIntosh. She lived most of her life in Erwin where she raised her son.

Faye retired from Hoover Ball where she was an Inspector for many years. She also worked at the former TG&Y in Erwin.

Faye grew up attending Lower Rice Creek Baptist Church where she was baptized. She attended Erwin Church of Brethren with her husband and son.

Faye was a member of The Order of Eastern Star. She was an excellent cook, and her Banana Pudding was the best! Faye enjoyed growing a vegetable garden and flower garden. Roses were Faye’s favorite flower.

She loved her family dearly and absolutely adored her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Deward Gene Bailey on September 01, 2015; brother, Grady “Buddy” McIntosh; sister, Verna Bailey; nephew, Evan McIntosh; brother-in-law, John Byers; sister-in-law, Kathryn McDonald.

Faye leaves behind to cherish many precious memories, her son, Jeff Bailey and his wife, Kathy of Franklin, Tennessee; her beloved grandchildren: Joshua Bailey and Brianna Bailey; nieces: Lisa Bailey (David Holcombe),  Asheley Edwards (Toby), and Cheri Byers; brother-in-law, Bennie Bailey; sister-in-law, Carolyn Byers; several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Bailey’s entombment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in the Evergreen Mausoleum. Reverend Randy Griffith will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend should be assembled at the mausoleum by 12:50 p.m. on Saturday.
