Edna Arlene Tittle Harris, age 91, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Center on Aging and Health. She was a lifelong resident of Erwin and a daughter of the late Troy B. Tittle and Dessie Shehan Tittle.
Arlene was a faithful Christian woman, who loved going to church. She formerly attended West Park Street Baptist Church.
Arlene was a devoted and meticulous homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and re-arranging furniture. Arlene loved her family dearly and treasured spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Lester Curtis Harris, Sr. on December 25, 2012; son, Bobby J. Tittle; daughter, Brandi Harris; two brothers: Joe Tittle and Donald Tittle; one sister, Margaret Morton.
Arlene leaves behind to cherish her memory, one sister, Barbara Smallwood of Springfield, MO; two grandchildren: Haley Amos and husband, Wil, and Kaleb Tittle and wife, Blake McGaree-Tittle; several great grandchildren; four step daughters: Angela Harris and husband, Vernon, of Erwin, Angela Manning and husband, Ed of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Mallard and husband, Glenn of Erwin, and Lois Harris; two step sons: Lester Curtis Harris, Jr. and wife, Renee of Cameron, NC, and Richard B. Harris and wife, Kim of Jonesborough; step daughter-in-law, Tina Lock; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Arlene's graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 in the Evergreen Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m. on Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
