Earnest R. Deadrick

Earnest R. Deadrick, age 86 of Erwin, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton, after a lengthy illness. He is a son of the late John and Edna Vincent Deadrick.

Earnest was a graduate of Lamar High School and a longtime resident of Erwin. He was an Industrial Maintenance Engineer for twenty-seven years at Vesuvious Industries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Candy Ann Huskins and several brothers and sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-six years, Jaunice Gentry Deadrick; his son, Terry Deadrick, wife, Terrie “Susie” Deadrick; granddaughter, Dawna Deadrick, granddaughter, Donnette Hahn, all of Erwin; his daughter, Starrla Huskins and grandson, Robert Huskins, Jr., Louisville, OH; five great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, December 23, 2021, in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Mike Watts of Avalon Hospice and Wayne Higgins will officiate. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:25 PM.
