Dorothy Mae Foster Webb, age 83, Erwin, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 24, 2020. She was a native of Yancey County, NC but lived most of her life in Unicoi County. Dorothy was a daughter of the late Dana Foster and Bessie Wilson Foster. She was a former employee of Industrial Garment. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, quilting, her flowers and gardening. Dorothy was an Old Time Christian, worshiping biblically. When her health permitted she attended Mountain View Church in Castlewood, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Bill Webb on February 5, 2011; two brothers: Floyd and Guy Foster; one sister, Penny Aiton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Retia Shealy (Terry), Erwin; one brother, Arnold Foster, Erwin; special cousin, Glenda Higgins (Curtis); her beloved extended family, Kelly and Shannon Blevins, grandsons, Carson and Cooper Rutherford; her Mountain View Church family. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2020 in the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Kevin Laws, Preacher Dwayne Riddle and Preacher Bill Osborne will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted however, the family would greatly appreciate memorial donations be made in memory of Dorothy to: Mountain View Church Building Fund, C/O Dwayne Riddle, 421 Roaring Creek, Chuckey, TN 37641.
